PKT DAY AT WALSH GYM

The Lady Pirates take on Syracuse in the first-ever Phi Kappa Theta Day at Walsh Gym on Sunday, January 22nd at 2 p.m. Ticket Sales Director Rich Bello has saved 25 seats for PKT brothers in Section 15 at $5/ticket (usually $10). FIFTH ANNUAL PKT DAY AT THE ROCK

The Fifth Annual Phi Kappa Theta Day at The Rock will be held in the Goal Bar of the Prudential Center on Sunday, February 12th, before the Seton Hall v. Pittsburgh basketball game, which begins at 12:00 noon. It is co-sponsored by The Setonian Foundation and the SHU Office of Alumni Relations.

PKT alumni/guests will gather in the Goal Bar from 11 a.m. – an hour before tip-off – until the game ends. The venue will afford us the privacy we lacked in past years. It’s a cash bar/cash menu deal, so you can order only what you want. During the game, we will sit in seats away from the bar, facing the court. But the bar will remain open for food/drinks throughout the game.

After the game, we will gather at Loft 47, a new eatery at 47 Edison Place, directly across from The Rock. You won’t have to walk far or move your cars.

Ticket Sales Director Rich Bello has reserved 100 seats for brothers/guests in the Goal Bar at $25/ticket (usually $34). For tickets, contact (973) 275-2327 or richard.bello@shu.edu and mention the code PKT to identify our group. There is a $6 handling charge/order and the tickets will be mailed to you.

Tickets must be bought by January 30th, so act soon or risk getting shut out.

PKT GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

The 50th Anniversary of the installation of NJ Phi Beta Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity at Seton Hall will be celebrated on October 5th-6th, 2012. Activities include: Friday, October 5th: Annual PKT Golf Outing; Saturday, October 6th: Buffet Dinner featuring Seton Hall President A. Gabriel Esteban, in Main Lounge, University Center. Cocktails: 6 p.m./Dinner: 7 p.m. Fee: $50/person for alumni; $25/person for undergraduates. A PKT Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on campus at 5 p.m. by the Rev. Paul A. Holmes ’A, chapter chaplain.

A committee chaired by Jim Spaeth ’65 seeks a golf course for the outing and Class Representatives. Contact Spaeth at spaethusa@verizon.net. The committee also requests nominations for awards to be bestowed at the dinner to PKT alumni or SHU officials for distinguished service to NJ Phi Beta Chapter or The Setonian Foundation.
